Katie Grace of Green Esc
Garden enthusiast, Katie Grace, has a diverse background in nursing, leisure & lifestyle, aged care, disability support, and horticulture.
Her business, Green Esc, promotes illness prevention by immersing her clients in the joy of cultivating, planting, and savouring garden produce … and sitting and smelling the roses!
Research shows that spending time in nature can positively benefit mental health by lowering stress levels, reducing isolation, and strengthening your bond with your environment. This is achieved by engaging in physical activities, fostering connections, soaking up vitamin D from sunlight, and caring for your surroundings. When viewed in this way, your garden is more than just a garden; it serves as a sanctuary for mental health support.
Katie will delve into this research, explore the theories supporting the positive effects, and discuss practical applications of connecting with nature to enhance our daily lives and/or those of our clients.
Green Esc offers individuals an escape into the green for rejuvenation, companionship, and overall well-being. She is your gardening companion, leading you through meaningful activities that make a difference to your health and wellbeing...and your garden!
Katie will be presenting in the workshop marquee located on the northern side of the rose garden at the end of the council car park.
No bookings required!
