2019 Festival
Information about the 2019 Festival

The 2019 International Rose Garden Festival Morwell was a resounding success with over 6000 people visiting the garden across the weekend.

Many visitors came from outside the Gippsland region and were captivated by the beauty of the award winning rose garden and the warmth of the people in the Latrobe Valley community.

Saturday's highlight was the appearance from DIRTGIRL and Costa the Gnome. Families came from far and wide to see the Grubby Bucket Show and get a picture with their hero's.

AGL partnered with Latrobe City Council to deliver the inaugural Mid-Summer Night Lights installation. Rose arbours, garden beds and trees were transformed into a colourful wonderland with interactive lighting, performance and sound.

The rose garden was the perfect setting for day two of the festival - a food and wine fiesta. Wineries, cider makers and foodies were the focus, with wine makers and producers showcasing the amazing produce from the Gippsland region.

Sunday visitors enjoyed a relaxed picnic style setting amongst the roses, sipping a glass of wine and listening to the dulcet tones of local musicians.

Planning is underway for the 2020 festival which will be bigger and better than ever and include some exciting new elements.

Stay tuned for more details over the coming months.
